There are some books that capture your mind so completely that, while you’re reading them, everything that happens in your life seems somehow filtered through the author’s thoughts. Kundera does that for me. My relationships and perception of every mundane detail of my world change when I read his stuff. Recently, a few Danish authors have had the same effect, and I feel compelled to share them since the Danish literary bubble doesn’t seem to have burst and leaked abroad. But there’ll be all sorts of other additions, too – the inspiring, the questionable, and the downright untouchable.
